This video explains the general information about ASGM (Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining) and associated poverty problems, health impact, and consequences of mercury contamination, as well as ASGM in Indonesia. This video also aims to increase awareness and to promote the understanding of the impacts of pollution and mercury intoxication on human health and ecosystems. Moreover, it is necessary to promote and conduct sustainable development efforts widely which will decrease or stop the applying of mercury in ASGM in order to protect from the harmful effects of mercury to mining communities.
